Vince Mariola, Owner
From the moment Vince began working as a carpenter when he was 17, he was hooked. The combination of thinking creatively and building something with his own hands was so fulfilling, he stuck with it. He learned on-the-job, helping a builder in Shreve, a timber framer in Burbank and in a carpentry shop throughout college. The more he did it, the more he enjoyed it.
Vince gained carpentry and general construction experience as a journeyman carpenter and was working for a millwork specialist in New Orleans when his brother, local restaurateur Mike Mariola, asked if Vince would come back to Wooster to build his family’s home. That project launched Vince Mariola Construction, as he found himself reveling in the opportunity to be the general contractor—to be in control of every aspect of the job through completion.
Since 2014, Vince Mariola Construction has taken on a wide variety of projects in Wooster and the surrounding areas. From historic preservation to restaurant build-outs to new homes from the ground-up, Vince and his team have built a trusted and well-respected reputation for truly custom residential and commercial projects.
Zach Sarbach, Supervisor
While he was 16 and still in school, Zach began working part-time with Vince through a work placement program. That was 10 years ago, and he hasn’t looked back. He enjoys the family-like culture of his crew—sharing camaraderie and a strong work ethic with his co-workers. Our go-to tile expert, Zach believes it’s the quality of craftsmanship that sets Vince Mariola Construction apart from other general contractors. And seeing the end result of a project coming together is one of the best parts of the job for him…especially when they take on historical preservation projects.
